Great pizza place. We were looking for an authentic pizza by the slice after a long walk through Central Park. Tonia not by the Alice but it is authentic and tasted amazing. We would recommend Angelo's and We would go back. Price for a 13" was affordable. Two people split the pizza. Great service. It is a small dining room with a lot of people and little space but it is perfect. There are a lot of photos on the wall with celebrities who have eaten there.

The best pizza I have ever had. During my last two trips to NYC, I've had John's on Bleecjker Street, Lazzara's, L'Industrie, Una Pizxa Napoletana and the original Joe's on the corner of Bleecker and Carmine. We also have a Di Fara here in NC that was opened by a family member of the original and it is excellent. Been going to the top pizza places rated by Dave Portnoy and various publications. This is in Dave's top 5 and that is justified. This is my favorite of all of these. Be sure you go to this location. Ate at the Broadway location. I'm not certain what the relationship is between the two but it was not in the same league. Be sure you eat at the 57th Street location.

While it may not be the place of pizza's invention, New York is no less synonymous with pizza than Italy. The just-thin-enough foldable crust, the ability get it by the slice and a one of a kind flavor profile. There are many places in the city that work hard to outcompete one another when it comes to this delicacy, so there is absolutely no shortage of quality decadence. Angelo's is a family run, 4th generation pizza joint, ran by Angelo's descendants. It's incredibly busy and the interior is pleasantly New York Italian vibe. Their house made sausage is a great topping. The only thing slightly off about the pizza is the volume of actual cheese, which to say mildly is minimal. The pizza is nonetheless tasty. The salads are fresh and people working here are kind. There are a few draft beers available, all served in nicely frozen mug. How can someone whine after a meal like that?

This 2-story restaurant in a busy area was really great! We went for a company outing at MoMA and made reservations here after for lunch. Quite spacious, service was quick and great, waiter was attentive and not overwhelmed by our party of 13 with different requests! We all ordered different entrees (couldn't take pics since we were all so hungry ). Definitely will return to try more pizzas and entrees when I'm In the area again!
